Minissha lamba

Minissha Lamba (born January 18, 1985), his face known in the modeling circuit, debuting with the film Yahaan (2005). Former face of Cadbury chocolate commercial was born in a Punjabi-speaking Sikh family in New Delhi. Graduates from Miranda House, Minissha has trained under NK Sharma's Act One Theatre Group. This petite actress's acting career seems to have started degan a good start. The girl has gained many awards for her brilliant performance in her debut film.

Lamba's long term ambition was to become a journalist. While studying for a degree in Delhi, she was offered to represent ad campaigns like LG, Sony, Cadbury, Hajmola, Airtel, Sunsilk etc. But it was the ad shoot for Cadbury that turned out to be lucky for her. She was approached by Bollywood director, Shoojit Sircar, who signed her to act in his film Yahaan (2005). She accepted it and moved on to acting making her film debut with Yahaan. Critics praised the movie citing Lamba's performance as one of the highlights.

In 2004, she majored in English with honours from Miranda House, University of Delhi. Then came her first movie in 2005 called “Yahaan”, which was directed by Shoojit Sircar. In 2008, she acted in Siddharth Anand’s film Bachna Ae Haseeno which stars Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone along with Ranbir Kapoor in the lead roles. This movie is produced by Yashraj Films. She will be soon featuring in a Shyam Benegal film to be released by mid September. It is a film about a father-daughter relationship starring Boman Irani as her father.
